What kind of a superhero did you want to be as a kid?
I distinctly remember my brother traipsing through the living room as though looking for someone to save. But for me the image of a true hero rests somewhere between Superman and Hulk, which to some may seem like an atrocious pairing, but for me, the geeky teenage girl, who didn’t mind climbing trees, but was perturbed and queasy about coming down, the mix seemed just right.
Today though, although it’s still about the powers and skills, in the cartoons, comics and manga section I am just as fascinated about story and structure. So much so that now, I have fallen into reading the Unwritten by Mike Carey and Peter Gross.
And watching shows like: Arrow and Flash.
Right now, think back to when you were a child. What type of superheroes interested you? Switch. You are an adult, what’s changed?
WP # 29. Describe the superhero you would like to be, and craft a world around it.
